ENERGY STAR EFFICIENT PRODUCTS
Earning the ENERGY STAR endorsement means a product meets strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. For TVs, it means they save energy when they are turned off. ENERGY STAR qualified TVs use about 30% less energy than standard TV units.

BEST ELECTRONICS TAKE-BACK PROGRAM: MRM RECYCLING
MRM is relatively new to the recycling scene, yet the organization, started up by Panasonic, Sharp, and Toshiba, has made leaps in progress for helping states meet their legal electronics recycling obligations as well as boosting recycling nationwide. They moved fast right from the start, and continue to impress us, having already set up more than 400 recycling drop-off sites and facilitating the recycling of more than 40 million pounds of e-waste.
